Sportsmedicine

In our view sports medicine contains veterinary care and the preparation of high performance athletes for their use in competitions.

To achieve a successful horse rider combination solutions for orthopaedic- and back problems as well as problems with flexion or head shaking have to be found.

Kissing spines:

Tight spinous process in the spinal column of the back which might lead to painful
reactions.

Symptoms include: lack of movement, uneven gaits and unwillingness to support a rider.

Calcification of the neck ligament:

Microtrauma in the area of the insertion of the neck ligament might  lead to painful calcification.

This can cause unwillingness to bend or shaking of the head when bearing the riders weight.

Wolf teeth (premolar):

Wolf teeth can be painful when getting in contact with the bit. In some cases it is not possible to feel it therefore we are using the x-ray (see image).

Tongue failure:

In some cases tongue problems can be solved through exact diagnostic.
